Тут недавно речь заходила о Шустере. В развитие темы - его небольшое и несколько запоздалое интервью, на которое я наткнулся на его fan-сайте.

Bernd Schuster is in Barcelona to see the match FC Barcelona - Shakhter. The German who played 8 season for FC Barcelona and coached last year Shakhter has been interviewed for several media this week. The most interesting report is the Canal Plus one:

He was successful in FC Barcelona and he coached FC Shakhter Donetsk. He played for Real Madrid and now fight in Levante bench to get a good position in Primera. He is Bernd Schuster, one of better sources to talk on this game. He bets for FC Barcelona but he advices on Shakhter:

FC BARCELONA - FC SHAKHTAR DONETSK: "Barca is favorite but Shakhter is dangerous because they are unknown, they are young (20 to 24 years old). However they are expertise players, they are national players from Eastern Europe: Romania, Croatia, Poland,....They in their best moment in the season".

SHAKHTER: "It was a nice experience: The club, the president, the players,...unfortunately the language was very difficult so I could not speak to the players directly, but I wanted to check that experience. They were still playing with the old system with 3 defenders. I introduced 4 in line system and we did it right most of the season. Now they have purchased 2 or 3 new players and they playing a good football and I feel I contributed to the good game they are showing since last year"

UKRAINE: "It is a complicated country to live, very poor in some areas. Another way to life football. To wi the matches and to win titles for Shakhter it is complicated because it is also politics. I find it is not like here, in Ukraine to win the League it is not only to be the best o the field. It rare that they had the chance to win. Some times they win a title but, it is not like football in Spain".

PRESIDENT AKHMETOV: "He is a man for his people. He never should leave Ukraine to invest in foreign club as Chelsea. He loves his country and he is linked with the miner area because his own family were miners. Now he is rich and his target is football, do not ask me how he became so rich, but I will tell you he has a bank, mines and a lot of other businesses in the region and the country".

FC BARCELONA: "Barca is winning games easy, attacking and only 3 players are defenders. They are moving and moving and creating a lot of chances. They win clear, it is not luck"

REAL MADRID: I find some of them are not fit, in the physical side. The fans and journalists are pressing since the last bad season to say that defending is important. But I think they have forgot that Real has an attacking power with Roberto Carlos, Zidane, Figo, Beckham... and there is nothing more to say".

Кстати, в "Киккере" писали, что Шустер приезжал и в Мадрид на ДК. Сказал, что всегда не прочь посмотреть живьем матч Лиги Чемпионов. Но думаю, что и факт приезда именно украинского клуба сыграл свою роль. Еще раньше Шустер высказывался в "Киккере" по поводу увольнения из Шахтера. Насколько я понимаю, зла на руководство ШД он не держит, но убежден, что с расторжением контракта оно несколько поторопилось.
